Bert has been a full-time bookseller since 1976 when he opened a secondhand book store in Derry, NH. In 1978 he decided to specialize in the modern first editions field. He moved the business into his home and started issuing catalogs and doing trade shows. He has been at it ever since. Bert is a member of the New Hampshire Antiquarian Bookseller's Association, the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) (since 1982) and the International Leaque of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We are located just under 40 miles north of Boston in Southern New Hampshire, and are easy to find off a major highway (Rte 93). Since we are not an open shop we welcome visitors by appointment only.

We have around 4,000 titles on display in the following categories: Modern first editions - mainly American and English - many of the books being signed; poetry, poetry broadsides, and press books. Most of our holdings are modern and fairly contemporary, and feature both mainstream and genre fiction (e.g. contemporary literature, detective & science fiction), with emphasis on notable writers and literary prize-winners in both prose and poetry.

We are always interested in purchasing good, collectable books in the abovementioned fields, both single titles and whole collections.
