Doenitz was appointed by Adolf Hitler as his successor to head up what was left of the Third Reich in 1945. He was given a sentence of 10 years by the Nuremberg tribunal, served it at Spandau and was released in 1956. 8vo cloth. Book slightly cocked else very good plus in a very good, price-clipped dj. Owner's bookplate.
