Signed by Doenitz on a bookplate (as in all copies) affixed to the half-title page. Doenitz was appointed by Adolf Hitler as his successor to head up what was left of the Third Reich in 1945. He was given a sentence of 10 years by the Nuremberg tribunal, served it at Spandau and was released in 1956. 8vo cloth.
