New York: Random House, 1968. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Inscribed "For Burt Britton, with all deep affection/ Exley, 11/19/74" on the title-page. This is also a review copy, with slip & glossy photo of Exley laid in. There is also a brief handwritten note : "This is quite an exciting book! Stuart Harris". Harris was head of the publicity department at Harper & Rowe. 8vo cloth & boards. A great copy of Exley's masterpiece. Some minor wrinkling to the cloth of the spine (appears to be a minor production flaw, since the book looks almost unread), and, apart from a tiny ding bottom edge, the book is fine. The jacket has a tiny bit of wrinkling at top of spine and just a little bit of wear along the heel. The jacket is otherwise fine, and the price is unclipped.
