London: The First Editions Club, 1926. First Edition. Pamphlet. Complete set of twelve pamphlets of varying size and design housed in publisher's original cloth-backed folding portfolio. Only 220 sets were published just two years after Conrad died. Eleven of the twelve pamphlets contain the text of letters written to Conrad by other writers. The twelfth pamphlet includes Jean-Aubry's introduction. Authors represented include: Rudyard Kipling, H.G. Wells, George Gissing, Henry James, Arnold Bennett, John Galsworthy, Stephen Crane, &c. A fine set, of all twelve pamphlets, all in near fine to fine condition. The portfolio case is splitting at the hinges but otherwise very good with fading to spine and edges of boards.
