Our Business

Bert Babcock was a bookseller for fifty years. He opened a secondhand bookstore in Derry, NH in 1976, and in 1978 he decided to specialize in modern first editions. He moved the business into his home and spent the decades that followed issuing catalogs, exhibiting at book fairs, and building friendships with collectors, readers, and fellow booksellers.

Bert passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Orders and questions are now handled by Bert's son, Mika Babcock, and email is the best way to reach us.

We are located just under 40 miles north of Boston in Southern New Hampshire. We are not an open shop, and visits are by appointment only.

Thank you for stopping by, and for the support you gave Bert over so many years.
