THE JUNIOR SPECTATOR December 15th, 1902. Vol. 1. No. 1.
New York: 1902. First edition. Stapled wrappers. An early and remarkable endeavor by Douglas McMurtrie, who at merely 14 years of age, assumed the role of business manager for this magazine at the Horace Mann School, edited by Morris Ernst. A significant precursor to McMurtrie's later monumental contributions to the field of printing and typography. A fascinating glimpse into the early development of a key figure in printing history. Good. The stapled pages have separated and are now loose. Front cover is tape-repaired, and rear cover is chipped with tears. Scarce in any condition.
