Contemporary calf binding, subsequently rebacked in brown calf with raised bands and gilt lettering, retaining the original boards. Good. Contemporary calf boards heavily rubbed and worn at edges and corners, with areas of surface loss; professionally rebacked in later calf with raised bands and gilt lettering. Scattered foxing and age toning, heavier at the preliminaries. Binding now sound.
