"THREE LITTLE MEN" IN THE CRITERION: A QUARTERLY REVIEW. Volume XII, Number XLVI, October 1932. (INSCRIBED BY KAY BOYLE)

London: Faber & Faber, 1932. First Edition. Softcover. Inscribed by Kay Boyle beside the opening of her contribution: “All good wishes to Jeff Nelson – Kay Boyle.” Accompanied by an autograph note signed on her printed personal stationery, dated October 29, 1984, addressed to Mr. Nelson. Boyle explains that she has been away for ten days seeing doctors in San Francisco and that her books and correspondence have been moved during her absence. She asks whether this is the only remaining book he sent, adding that she thought there was another.

Contains the first publication of Boyle’s short story “Three Little Men,” together with contributions by Herbert Read, Louis MacNeice, D. S. Mirsky, Christopher Dawson, and others. 8vo. Original printed wrappers.
Very good considering age, with toning and soiling to the wrappers, creasing, and short tears along the overlapping edges. Scattered foxing to the exposed leaves.
